1. 07.08.2010 quick and easy The book arrived in a timely manner and was in good condition. Thank you, sgtkap26
2. 04.06.2010 Great Reference and Information for Excel users! This was purchased as a text for my daughter. When I looked over it, I told her do not sell it when done! My wife is in IT and I'm in education so we both use Excel constantly to analyze data.
Well done examples, concepts are explained in both terse and extended forms giving a more adept user quick access to what they need and the beginner a chance to learn the necessary contexts.
If you plan to use Excel for much beyond basic calculations, this is the perfect book to keep on your desk. It is bigger than a simple reference sheet but it has everything you might need. For the beginner, this will take you from your first double click to very professional presentation quality sheets and graphs!
3. 18.02.2010 Riddled With Errors, But Easy to Understand I had to buy this for an intermediate Excel class. Thank God my professor listed the errors in the course syllabus with corrections, because this book has quite a few of them! The book often skips steps without telling you. The formulas are often wrong, either resulting in a redundancy error, there being a simpler formula to accomplish the same thing, or the cell reference is just plain wrong (eg. C11 instead of C10). However, with the help of reading comprehension/tech skills, it is possible to infer the cells or solutions that the book meant. So if you're a beginning Excel student, there are much better books out there, (probably cheaper as well...), but if you need this for a class, then you don't have much choice. This book is laid out decently, and it has enough hands-on exercises combined with practice and mid-level exercises to learn the material. I was able to learn things I never knew I could do with Excel after a single practice exercise. Bottom line: If you need this for a class, buy it. If you have moderate computer skills, medium to advanced reading skills, and want to learn an awesome program, buy it. If you're just starting out, consider something else.
4. 11.10.2009 Book Purchase I was very happy with the book I received. It was in the exact condition which was stated. I would purchase from the seller again.
5. 06.10.2009 Excel 2007 This book is very detailed with click here, enter this in these cells etc. which may be very good for someone new to spreadsheets. I needed it for a class and bought it sight unseen. Without really looking at other books specifically, for a somewhat experienced user I think there are better choices out there.
